It is very thin, so It's warmth is limited, however, it's that same thinness that makes it so nice. I have worn it alone around the house and under my Marmot Variant jacket and it has helped kept me warm to around 40°F. I was so pleased with it, I bought another. This piece is so versatile, you can't go wrong!

I work out at an intensity that I take my own high velocity fan to the gym.or I would be drenched with sweat. The consumer fans don't do the job.
These tops are light weight, don't completely block the breeze, are not clammy when wet,. They seem to be durable, and odor is a minimal problem. Best as moisture transport layer as they provide limited warmth. -

It is. Just do the same as you would for any merino base when it comes to cleaning and this singlet will last for quite a few winters. A terrific alternative to the slightly higher price of the Icebreaker equivalent. You will be very happy if you can use a garment like this.

It's perfect for when you want just a little extra insulation and wind protection and don't want to sacrifice breathability. It's become my go-to mid layer for trail runs and hikes when the temps are in the 50s and 60s.

The transition has been slower than I'd like because of the high prices of wool clothing. These RedRam sleeveless shirts are a great fit, made of itch-free material and come from STP at a great price. I'm much closer to 100% wool base layer, and am one happy camper!

Not itchyReviewed by Anonymous from Bye SF, now in SD on Tuesday, February 25, 2014If you are using some of the new compression type garments as a base, try going "old school" with Merino wool. It is NOT itchy, doesn't retain odor (wore mine 3 days in a row at the St. Francis Big Boat Regatta as a sleep aboard crew member), ventilates better than UA type compression wear, the stitching is comparable to what you would find on a quality t shirt. and the sizing is american size. I'm 6'-1", 205 #'s, 46 chest and XXL fits close but not tight. I also use these as a base for skiing, motocross, and road cycling. As for the later, the length on this garment is long compared to cycling specific base layers so you will need to fold up a few inches lest it hang below the hem of your jersey. Extra length a plus if you are a "tuck it in at the waist" type.
