The neck flap was great and worked well. My only complaints were that it could use a bit more venting, it was a bit warm, and the keeper strap doesn't disconnect, so I just clipped it up somewhere. Really, 4.5 stars.

Since the description said the hat was for women as well, we assumed the medium would be for most women, plus he does not have a small head! Well, the large swalled him. We returned it for the medium, which was perfect. The features are excellent. It is light weight and it's nice to have the chin strap for windy conditions and the flap for sun. It is very packable. There is a strap described as a "keeper strap," which was useless. It would not open unless you forced it apart and it did not hold when clamped onto even a t-shirt. It was flimsy (maybe defective, but who cares); we cut it off. Not needed at all, but the hat is a real value at the big discount with STP.
