5.0 out of 5 stars. Chaco Uma Boots

I live in Alaska and these boots have been warm and waterproof in the snow and winter conditions so far. The arch is amazing and makes the boot wearable all day. I love these boots. I even bought a pair for my daughter.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Found to be Unwearable

I purchased these boots in St. Paul, MN off of a shopping district. I think to many people Sierra Trading Post was just getting noticed and popular. It was very odd because when I bought these boots on sale I saw someone out on the shopping street wearing them about a day after I had ordered them. It was unclear at the time also if RED boots were somehow wrong to wear in St. Paul. As far as feeling comfortable to wear them that did not happen. I think it is the color. It seemed to be too noticeable or strange for some reason. I have been searching for some kind of opinion about wearing red boots/shoes in Minnesota without much success. They could be too trendy looking for the location I was in even though it was a shopping street. I don't object to CHACO and they fit very well.

I took the advice of other reviews and ordered a half size smaller than my usual 5-1/2. Worked out great! Got the red color which is super cute with leggings. The laces give you the option of tightening or loosening so it's easy to break in. Can't comment on its waterproofness though. It's been dry in CA!
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm, waterproof, and roomy

I ordered my regular size and the boots are roomy, maybe could've gone smaller as some reviews say, but i like the roominess for thick socks if necessary. Arch support excellent. Very cute!
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great boot, weird sizing

Bought these for my teenage daughter and she loves them. Not sure if they are waterproof or not, haven't put them to the test.
The sizing was tricky to figure out, despite the advice from the reviews to go smaller. She wears a 7.5 normally, we ordered a 7 and they are still too big. I think a whole size smaller would have worked better...
