5.0 out of 5 stars. Hiking Rain overpantsReviewed by AlpeMoney from NYC on Thursday, October 4, 2018Nice pants - did not get to wear them outside yet but they appear to be well made. If I remember, I will update after using outside. Sizing wise I am 186cm 83kg and a Medium fits well over regular hiking pants / shorts.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great productVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lou lou from Louisville, KY on Sunday, September 30, 2018Both my wife and I have Optima jackets and love them. The Goretex paclite material is an excellent combination of durability and weight. Add to that the exacting construction standards required by Goretex and this provides very high quality and performance. Size chart was right at 6'1" and 215 the XL was a comfortable fit, but not over more than thin base layer. These pants have a zippered fly and snap waist which are unusual for rain gear, but if you're worried, how much leakage have you had with zip-snap legs? Right. I bought these for rainy day walking, hiking and as a WP layer for kayaking. Paddle pants are generally hot and gasketed so tight. I'll use these for a dry seat in the boat.

5.0 out of 5 stars. They would be perfect but shortVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Florida on Wednesday, June 13, 2018I liked them, they were lightweight, fitted fine in width but were short so I had return them.
I'm 183cm tall but needed M size in width but about XL size in length. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. FineVerified Buyer Reviewed by Alex from WA on Friday, January 26, 2018They are great for the price (75) but could have more technical details.
I am 34/34 to 34/36 and L fits fine. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Solid, but...Verified Buyer Reviewed by joel from Michigan on Monday, January 1, 2018These pants seem to be very solidly constructed, but I had to return them. If you're planning to wear them over pants (i.e. work pants, jeans) you probably want to order a size up. I do think you could wear a pair of long underwear underneath without an issue, but I planned to wear these over my work pants when I walk to work and it's raining. Needed a bigger size.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Get the job done well.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Friday, May 5, 2017I used these for a 7-day snow excursion and they served perfectly as bottom shell layers. I slid down snowy faces on my rump and felt comfortable and protected in these.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Simple, bombproof pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by RiK from WI on Sunday, December 11, 2016Used these on the Inca Trail and they were a great outer layer. Shed water all day without soaking through and were breathable enough that I didn't feel like I was in a sauna. I prefer lightweight rain shells that don't take up much space in my pack, and these fit the bill.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Quality Rain PantVerified Buyer Reviewed by AK Hiker from Alaska on Friday, September 16, 2016Have not tested long-term.
However, my fiance' is very happy with these pants. You can tell they are well-made and are a high quality pant. He is usually about a 36" waist and 30" inseam and the Large (waist 34-36) just fit. Not quite enough space for a heavy layer underneath but the length is good and overall they fit comfortably.
This is a great deal especially when I have gone to some...Really Expensive Item stores and seen Arc'teryx rain pants (also Gore-Tex) for nearly 4 times the price and not noticeably better quality.
We will see if they stand up to the test of time (or a trip to Southeast Alaska...) but have always had good experience with Gore-Tex and these definitely seem well done. -
1.0 out of 5 stars. Designed to fit over underwear or bike shortsVerified Buyer Reviewed by JD from Wisconsin on Monday, August 29, 2016Should have listened to the other reviews, but thought they might just be folks that wanted to believe they were still a size medium. Marmot is typically sized for the fit and agile consumer. However, rain pants are normally designed, sized and sold to fit over layers (jeans)! No, not these... I'd be lucky to fit these over my underwear or bike shorts. I'm sure the material is wonderful, but the cut and size border on ridiculous! Good luck!
